Privacy Policy

Couch Remote for Samsung TV (iPhone and Apple Watch) · Effective October 22, 2026

The app collects no data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no server of ours. The app talks only to your TV, on your own home network.

What the app does on your network

None of this leaves your home network. iOS asks for your permission (Local Network) before the app can do it.

What is stored, and where

Only on your devices, never on a server:

The app’s widgets and its Apple Watch app read the same information on your devices. The Apple Watch app never receives the TV’s access permission. Removing a TV in the app deletes its data; deleting the app deletes all of it.

Text you type

Text you type into a TV text field (for example a search or a password) goes only to your TV. The app does not store or log it.

Siri, Shortcuts, and widgets

When you use Siri or Shortcuts, Apple processes your request under Apple’s privacy policy; the app receives only the command (for example “volume up”).

Third parties

The app contains no third-party code that collects data, and the app shares or sells no data, because it has none.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page with a new date.
